Bloemfontein Celtic to recall Chiukepo Msowoya
Nyasa Big Bullets and TNM Super League reigning top scorer, Chiukepo Msowoya, might join Bloemfontein Celtic’s pre-season preparations in South Africa next month.
Celtic Chief Executive Officer, Khumbulani Konco, told South Africa’s leading publication, Kick-Off magazine website that the gangling forward will be recalled following his earlier trials.
“We have not signed him yet. He is coming back again in June for pre-season,” www.kickoff. com reported Tuesday.
Celtic did not sign Msowoya last season after the trials because the club’s quota was reportedly exhausted after recruiting strikers, Fiston Abdoul and Julius Linkontsane.
However, last week, Celtic Malawian Team Manager, John Maduka, said the team was yet to decide on the Flames striker.
Bullets Chairperson, Sammy Chilunga and Acting General Secretary, Kelvin Moyo, were not readily available on Tuesday.
If he clinches the deal, the striker would return to the Premier Soccer League (PSL) after a difficult spell at Orlando Pirates in 2011. He also had a stint with Platinum Stars before joining Mozambican giants, Costa do Sol.
Msowoya is currently among the leading TNM Super League scorers with five goals.
