BY BENJAMIN MAONA

Blue Eagles Coach Deklerk Msakakuona has said their 0-3 loss to Be Forward Wanderers in the TNM Super League on Sunday is a blessing in disguise as they prepare for the Airtel Top 8 final against Nyasa Big Bullets on Sunday.

“These are two different games all together. We can’t rule out the fact that the loss has affected the players psychologically ahead of the game against Bullets. However, the game has also offered us opportunities to see weak areas that need attention before Sunday’s game,” Msakakuona said.

Eagles reached the final after booting out Silver Strikers 1-0 in the semi-final, whereas Bullets ousted Wanderers 2-1.

Bullets Team Manager, James Chilapondwa, said their 2-2 away draw against Dwangwa United on Saturday was not a bad result.

“The result does not, in any way, affect our preparations for the final. It was an away match and a point is crucial. Otherwise, morale is high among the players,” Chilapondwa said.
