Blue Eagles new Executive Committee has reshuffled the team’s technical panel ahead of the 2017 season.

Eagles have maintained Derklerk Msakakuona as Head Coach but replaced Assistant Coach, Wilson Chidati and General Manager, Gabriel Chirwa with former Epac mentor, Audloy Makonyola and ex-Eagles player, Ken Mponda, respectively.

Allan Kachingwe has been appointed as Technical Advisor whereas Chidati has been demoted to the reserve side as Head Coach.

Newly appointed Eagles Chairperson, Alexander Ngwala, yesterday confirmed the changes.

“As Eagles, we do not have the position of General Manager in our structure. The patron of the team is the Inspector General. At the moment, we do not have a Technical Director,” he said.

Chirwa said he was not bitter.

“I am still a dedicated Eagles supporter and I will remain part of the team forever. I wish the team well next season and we hope we will do well,” he said.

Chirwa was the team’s spine as he spearheaded the fulfillment of Club Licensing System requirements.

Eagles have never won the TNM Super League championship but usually finish in the top-four
