Miss Malawi organisers have announced Blueberry Travels as one of their main sponsors, who have since pledged a one- week trip to Dubai with all expenses paid for the queen.
Alpha Arts has been licensed to run the Miss Malawi 2022 which will be held on December 3 2022 at Bingu International Convention Centre in Lilongwe.
Veteran Miss Malawi promoter Carver Bhima said recently that Alpha Arts signed a two-year contract and that they have promised an exciting run of the pageant.
Tina Kendricks from Alpha Arts Thursday hailed Blueberry Travels for the gesture adding that they were still looking for more sponsors ahead of the main event.
“We are looking for more support, we have tried knocking on different doors but we have not been successful especially winning the support from big companies. We are still pushing with the hope of partnering different players ahead of the main event and so, we are excited to have Blueberry Travels as one of our main sponsors,” she said.
Recently Miss Malawi organisers and the 12 finalists engaged First Lady Monica Chakwera to ask for support.
“We had to reach out to the First Lady because of her interest in early childhood development which is also our theme this year,” Kendricks said.
Kendricks, a former Malawi News Model of the Year, has said 12 finalists will go for the boot camp on November 27 2022.
“Ten finalists will battle for the crown of Miss Malawi with two expected to be removed during the boot camp,” she said.
