Bob Mtekama dead

Director of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in the Malawi Police Deputy Commissioner of police Bob Mtekama has passed on.

National Police Publicist James Kadadzera has confirmed.

Mtekama, who was appointed the director of CID last month, passed away on Tuesday evening at Blantyre Adventist Hospital in Blantyre.

Kadadzera said: “I can confirm that indeed Mtekama has passed away. However all other details will be communicated later,”

He was a lead officer who recently interrogated former President Arthur Peter Muthalika at his house in Mangochi on his involvement in the K5 billion cement saga.
