British Council to launch Selector

British Council has announced that it will launch Selector in the country.
Meanwhile, United Kingdom (UK)- based DJ, BBC Radio 1 Xtra presenter and the new host and face of Selector Radio – British Council, Jamz Supernova, will visit Malawi from March 11 to 13 2020.
A press statement from British Council says during the visit, Jamz will participate in industry discussions and live performances, engage in conversations with relevant radio partners including Capital FM Malawi about broadcasting Selector Radio, learn about the wider radio landscape with particular reference to content creators and female DJs.
Some of the activities include a Creative Hustle on March 13 at Zaluso Arts Hub in Lilongwe and All Black Party at Epic Lounge 47.
Jamz is also set to share UK music sector insights and details of the Southern Africa Arts— British Council programme opportunities linking the UK and Southern Africa.
In a series of events that will be produced by Nyali Muzik, Jamz will be partnering with RJ the DJ, Allidah Namame Henson of Capital FM Malawi and Shortie in delivering #SelectorRadio events.
After interactions in a number of events in the country, Jamz will then depart for South Africa on March 13.

Inspired by the likes of Nina Las Vegas, Toddla T, Diplo and Annie Mac, as a live DJ Jamz weaves between UK Bass, Funky, Grime, Hip Hop, Jersey Club and Global Sounds.
She has graced the stages at Sonar, Parklife, Detonate, El Dorado, Nass, Farr, Lovebox, Beat Herder and Bestival among others.
