Malawi national football team Coach, Ronny van Geneudgen (RVG), faces a tight schedule as he wants to be involved in all assignments for the under-23 national football team and the Flames in the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifiers.
RVG will be with the Meke Mwase-led under 23 coaching panel when Malawi host Zambia at Kamuzu Stadium today.
The Belgium will then travel to Lilongwe to take charge of the Flames as they entertain Morocco on Friday in an Afcon qualifier for the seniors.
After that assignment, RVG will accompany the under-23 squad to Lusaka for the return leg.
Flames assistant Coach, Peter Mponda, said it was RVG’s strategy to supervise training for both teams.
“Both games are important but special emphasis is on the under 23 side because the team is still in contention. As for the Flames, we are developing a side,” he said.
Mponda, Team Manager James Sangala and Franco Ndawa are with the senior team in Lilongwe whereas Mwase, Bob Mpinganjira and Sibusiso Padambo are drilling the under-23 under the watch of RVG in Blantyre.
