Jamaican artist Busy Signal last year in November performed at the Sunbird Sand Music Festival in Salima, where he put up a razor sharp performance.

Having shined last year, Busy Signal real name Glendale Goshia Gordon is coming back and is set to perform at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe this coming Saturday in a pre-Sand Music Festival show.

The artist famed for hits Reggae Music Again and Dreams of Brighter Days said in a video posted by the organisers Impakt Events led by musician Lucius Banda that he is ready for the show.

With Malawians frustrated with some event organisers over no shows especially involving international acts, the Jamaican reggae dancehall musician confirmed in a video that he is coming to Malawi for the show at Civo Stadium.

“Everything is set; Busy Signal will be in Malawi on September 3 and the venue is Civo Stadium. I will perform with a live band and I am ready to deliver music to the people,” he said.

The Jamaican artist hailed Impakt Events as well as other companies that have made it possible for him to come again and perform in the country.

Lucius said they have worked very hard to bring back Busy Signal saying this was a chance for people, who missed his electric performance last year to watch him live.

This is also part of fundraising for the Sand Music Festival taking place from October 28 – 30,” he said.

Lucius said Busy Signal will jet into the country on Friday ahead of the show.

“All we are saying is people should buy the tickets using Airtel Money to Sand2016 or using Mo626 ice,” said the musician better known as Soldier in the music circles.

National Bank of Malawi recently partnered Impakt Events, who are the organisers of the Sand Music Festival and Busy Signal show pumping in K11.5 million.

Lucius said people should buy tickets for both the festival and Busy Signal show using Mo626.

The Busy Signal show advance tickets are selling at K10,000 and at the gate it will be K12,000 and according to an advert on Mo626, one can buy three tickets via MO626ice and get one for free and this is for the first 40 customers.

Lucius said the gates during the event will open earlier at 10am and that the lineup on the day also includes some of the up and coming urban artists.

“You will notice that the lineup does not have the usual artists people would have loved to see but we have tried as much as possible to also give a platform to some of the urban artists,” he said.

Some of the artists set to spice up the Busy Signal show include Saint, Sam Simakweli better known as Sam Smack, Purple C, Big Lu, Soul Raiders Band, Lucius, Lulu, Blasto, Sangie and Nepman.
