Cabinet not ready

President Lazarus Chakwera has said he is not ready with a new Cabinet because he needs time to review assessment reports he has received from Vice President Saulos Chilima.

This is contrary to what Press Secretary Brian Banda announced on Monday that the President would name members of his Cabinet within 24 hours.

In a statement Wednesday, Banda said Chakwera needed more time to review the report from Chilima.

“Given that the reports are as substantial as the President’s review is thorough, the completion of the task will take a few days longer than anticipated,” the statement reads.
