Carlsberg Cup round of 16 fixtures out
The 2015 Carlsberg Cup action returns next week with games lined up from July 17 to 26 in round of 16.
Topping the fixtures is the clash between defending champions Big Bullets and giants killers Silver Reserve on July 26.
After knocking out TNM Super League side Epac FC, the junior Bankers trek down South to meet Bullets at Kamuzu Stadium in a fortnight.
But before this battle between David and Goliath, another interesting fixtures is between Chilumba and Mighty Wanderers on July 25.
The Karonga-based Malawi Defence Force (MDF) side already fired a warning shot to the Nomads that there would be no mercy.
Chilumba are in the round of 16 after knocking out Super League rookies Fisd Wizards, formerly Surestream.
Red Lions clash with fellow MDF side Moyale at Zomba Community.
Another interesting fixture on Saturday is between Blue Eagles and Mafco at Nankhaka on July 18 while struggling Silver host Opec FC at Silver Stadium on the same day.
Football Association of Malawi (Fam) competitions manager, Gomezgani Zakazaka, said they were looking forward to another exciting round of 16.
“The most interesting thing is that we have a number of lower league teams that have made it into the round of 16 and that should make the matches interesting to watch,” Zakazaka said.
