IN THE SEMI-FINAL—Wanderers in action against Tigers on
Sunday

Carlsberg Cup semi-final matches will take place at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe and Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre next month.

Football Association of Malawi (Fam) Competitions Manager, Gomezgani Zakazaka, confirmed that the semi-final match between Nyasa Big Bullets and Masters Security FC is scheduled for Civo on October 6.

Another semi-final involving Be Forward Wanderers and Hangover United will take place at Kamuzu Stadium on October 7.

Zakazaka said all the semi-final matches would be treated like international games.

“We have to be at our best in terms of organisation, putting things into perspective and ensuring that the venues are in good condition,” he said.

Defending champions Bullets beat Red Lions 4-3 in the quarter-finals at Kamuzu Stadium last Saturday whereas the minnows Hangover booted out Blue Eagles with a 1-0 margin at Balaka Stadium on the same day.

On Sunday, Wanderers beat Tigers through post-match penalties while Masters booted out Mafco FC through penalties at Civo Stadium.
