CDH Investment Bank has donated K2 million to Darts Association of Malawi (Dam) to help in the development of the sport in the country.

Speaking in Blantyre at a cheque presentation ceremony, the bank’s corporate banking manager Jamal Kamoto expressed hope that the money would make a difference in the development of darts in the country.

“One of our corporate social responsibilities is to support development of sports in the country. We also support darts because it is doing well both on the local and international scene,” Kamoto said.

Dam General Secretary Chikondi Kachinjika lauded the bank for the gesture.

“We have not managed to reach out to many people with the sport because of, among other things, lack of resources. As such, the coming in of CDH is great news to us. We have youth programmes and also conduct competitions for youths and women. To this end, we will use the money for that,” Kamoto said.
