Chartered Institute of Customer Management awards companies
The Chartered Institute for Customer Management (CICM) last week awarded several Malawian companies for outstanding services to customers during its inaugural annual event in Lilongwe.
Blantyre City Assembly, Sunbird Bird Hotels, Protea Hotel, Shayona Cement Company, Alpha Security Company, Ecobank, TNM, Metropolitan Health, Premier Bus Company were among the winners in different categories.
Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Trade Cliff Chiunda urged the private sector to seriously invest in customer service initiatives.
He said government is doing the same through public sector reforms currently underway to improve its service delivery to the public.
“Through the reforms government is committed to serving its citizens with excel lence. You see a government that wants to be efficient in its delivery and this is why I am in total agreement with the Chartered Institute of Customer Management that services delivery and employment creation should be a major objective of any public, quasi-public and even private institutions in our country,” said Chiunda.
