Chichiri Prison Cultural Troupe continues its exploits of offering different traditional dances as part of promoting the country’s culture, with the latest performance at HS Winehouse in Blantyre on Friday.
This was the second time for the group, which is made up of inmates to perform at this venue. From the word go, the group excited the impressive audience with traditional dances from the three regions.
They included Vimbuza and Malipenga from the Northern Region and Gule Wamkulu from the Central Region. It was a thrilling night for the audience who at times splashed some money on dancers during the performance.
