Blantyre-based gospel musicians Chigo Grace, Apostle Enesia Chitheka Louis and Ethel Kamwendo Banda will this coming Thursday share the stage in a Pre-Mother’s Day concert set for Times Entertainment Studio.

This is a rare concert that will see the three acts, who are all mothers, blessing souls with their gospel vibes.

The concert promises thrills as the three artists have been undergoing massive rehearsals ahead of the event.

Times Group Commercial Manager Alfred Kanjere said the concert has been organised to celebrate mothers.

“When you look at the line-up, you will notice that there is a cream of gospel artists. We want this concert to cater for all groups of mothers, young and old, hence having the three. We therefore call upon people to come with their mothers and enjoy this concert,” Kanjere said.

Chigo Grace said she was well prepared for the concert and that she was committed to giving it her best.

“The concert is key as it will be held to express love, honour and respect for mothers. Mothers deserve to be celebrated, for they play a crucial role in families and society,” the singer said.

Veteran gospel musician Ethel Kamwendo Banda, famed for tracks such as ‘Ndiumboni’, said she was looking forward to the concert.

“The month of October is special because we celebrate our mothers for the work they do. For the work they do, we need to take time to celebrate them and having this concert is great,” she said.

Kamwendo Banda hailed Times Group for organising the Pre-Mothers’ Day concert which, she said will warm the celebration for Mothers’ Day.

“We will celebrate our mothers through music and we will minister to them and at the same time pray for their good health,” she said.

Apostle Enesia Chitheka Louis, who recently held a Soaked in Worship concert, said the concert was timely and that it aimed at thanking all mothers for the work they do.

“Mothers took a great responsibility of raising us and they conceived us. Most mothers are prayer warriors and spend much time in the presence of the Lord and, so, I am happy to be part of this concert organised by Times Group,” Chitheka Louis said.

She said she was prepared and that she was looking forward to the concert.

“We will sing songs of praise and worship. Through the concert, we will be appreciating God and enjoying the time live together on Times,” Apostle Chitheka Louis said.
