In the ladies’ category, Mbilizi, playing off handicap 11, emerged winner after collecting 19 points.

Carlo Banda, playing of handicap 22, was second with 17 points.

Speaking during prize presentation ceremony, the men’s champion, Chimwaza, said he was relieved to have won his first trophy at BSC.

“I have several titles in Lilongwe and other golf courses, including Country Club Limbe, but I was having a difficult time here. I enjoyed the tournament and my playing partners were equally exciting,” he said.

The ladies champion, Mbilizi, paid tribute to Kingfisher for sponsoring the tournament.

Kingfisher managing director, Henry Sisya, said they decided to sponsor the ball-pool to interact with their clients.

“As insurance brokers and consultants, we are impressed. We did not do much publicity but we are pleased with the turn up. Next year, we will be back and we will also stage our annual tournament at Nchalo Sports Club,” he said.
