Chimwemwe Idana keeps cards close to chest

Free agent Chimwemwe Idana is taking his time before deciding his next destination after leaving Nyasa Big Bullets following the expiry of his contract.
Idana has been linked with a move to Mighty Mukuru Wanderers, Silver Strikers and Tanzanian outfit Mbeya.
A source close to the player said that Tanzanian Premier League side, Mbeya, were frontrunners to secure Idana’s future but Wanderers have also joined the race.
“All along Idana had an outright offer from Mbeya but now Wanderers are also in the race to sign him. It is a matter of evaluating offers. At first it was obvious that he will head to Tanzania but the coming in of Wanderers has complicated matters,” he said.
The Flames midfielder refused to comment on issues surrounding his future and referred us to his manager Davie Matemba, who also kept a tight lid.
“At this moment we can’t say anything regarding my player,” he said.
