Lilongwe-based gospel group Chinsapo Sweet Melodies has released a fourth album Za Mumtima Ndizawekha.
In the album, the women’s choir is encouraging people to trust God in every situation.
The 10-track album, recorded at Alimoso Studios in Blantyre by Khathwa Aligiza, has songs such as ‘Mwachotsa Chitozo Changa’, ‘Palibe Ofanana Naye’, ‘Mufuniranji Wina’ and ‘Gwada Upemphere’.
The group’s chairperson Angella Chankomera said through the songs they would want to give hope to the hopeless.
“There are a lot of challenges people are going through at the moment and, so, we thought we should use our songs to encourage them not to lose hope. God is always there for us and He will never let us fall,” Chankomera said.
She said they would have already launched the album but, due to Covid restrictions, thought of waiting.
Chankomera said they have been receiving positive feedback from people with the songs enjoying airplay in some of the local radio stations.
The choir has since embarked on a DVD project.
Choice Construction has assisted the group in finalising the project.
The company’s director Daniel Makaula said he saw great potential in the choir ,hence giving out support.
Makaula said he would continue helping the choir to disseminate the gospel in all corners of the world.
The group’s previous albums are Konzeka, Akudziwa ndi Yahweh and Moyo Wanga Ukondwa.
