Chisomo C.C.A.P Choir ready for album launch
Chisomo C.C.A.P Women’s Choir will this Sunday launch its album Yesu Pobwera at Thyolo C.C.A.P in Thyolo.
Choir mistress, Ida Chindozi Banda, said the choir is ready to entertain its fans.
“This is our first album and we have tried our best to compose songs that will touch the souls of those who will attend the album launch. They will not be disappointed and we have also sharpened our dance antics,” Chindozi Banda said.
The album, which has both hymn and original songs, contains 11 songs: ‘Ambuye Wauka’, ‘Gwiritsa Yesu’, ‘M’bale Wanga’, ‘Ndidzayenda’, ‘Ndidze Pafupipa’, ‘Ine Ndalapa’, ‘Zizindikiro za Nthawi’, ‘Satana Undilonderanji’, ‘Panjira Ya Chikhristu’, ‘Ndidziwitsa’ and ‘Yesu Pobwera’.
The choir, which started eight years ago, has been motivated by technology and other budding choirs to release a CD.
“With the pace technology is going at, we felt we should not lag but rather go with the flow. The way things were eight years ago is not the say way things are now. Technology has made a lot of things, including the production of CDs, easier,” Chindozi Banda said.
Supporting artists include Bertha Nkhoma Nyirenda, Blessings Mathiya, Triza Thomson, Mbayani Heaven Doors, Thyolo Mvano Choir and Tatsegulira Chitakale Women’s Choir.
