Relegation-threatened Chitipa United Coach, Kondwani Mwalweni, has said his team will fight until the end of the TNM Super League season.

Mwalweni made the comment about his team’s survival chances at Mzuzu Stadium on Sunday after Chitipa had lost 3-2 to Moyale Barracks to remain bottom with 11 points.

“We conceded those goals too early. But all is not lost because there are so many games remaining to wrap up the campaign,” Mwalweni said.

During the game, Wiseman Kamanga, Lesman Singini and Gift Nyondo scored for Moyale whereas Emmanuel Muyira and substitute Christopher Mtambo netted for the visitors.

His Moyale counterpart, Nicholas Mhango, said scoring quick goals was the key to their win, which took them to fifth place on the log table with 31 points.

“When Chitipa arrived [at the stadium] two hours before the game, they remained in their bus without warming up. They came out 15 minutes before kick-off and I knew they could not win the game,” he said.
