Nyasa Big Bullets veteran forward, Chiukepo Msowoya, is reportedly undergoing trials at one of the South Africa’s Premier Soccer League (PSL) sides.
However, our findings indicate that Msowoya is undergoing trials at Golden Arrows.
However, both Arrows and Msowoya could not be reached for comments yesterday.
Reports suggest that Msowoya is a free agent after the expiry of his one-year deal with Bullets at the end of the season.
In an interview on Wednesday, Bullets General Secretary, Busy Kalozeni, yesterday said he was not aware of the development.
“I do not have details about that at the moment. Maybe talk to the chairperson, Noel Lipipa,” he said.
When contacted yesterday, Lipipa refused to comment on the issue.
Some of Msowoya’s teammates confirmed that he was in South Africa.
This comes after another Bullets player, Miracle Gabeya, is being assessed by PSL giants Kaizer Chiefs.
Gabeya started the trials last week and is hoping to clinch a deal with Chiefs in the ongoing transfer window.
Last year, Msowoya went for trials at Bloemfontein Celtic and Bidvest Wits but failed to make the grade.
During his first stint in the PSL, Msowoya played for the Soweto giants, Orlando Pirates, where he struggled to establish himself before being sent to Platinum Stars on loan. He also had a stint with Rwandan side, APR FC, and Mozambican teams, Liga Malcumana and Costa do Sol.
