Seasoned Kenya-based gospel musician Chrissie Kamthunzi has recorded a new single titled ‘My Warrior’.
The recording music minister, songwriter and composer said the single was inspired by the word of God from the book of Exodus 15.
“One day I was doing my quiet time very early in the morning, reading from Exodus chapter 15 about Mirriam’s song of deliverance. This turned into a song I started singing in my heart as I was meditating,” the veteran gospel musician said.
She said she then reached out to the pen and wrote the song.
“These are seasoned musicians. I was so happy to have these guys produce my music after over 20 years in Malawi during the production of Mukhale Woyamba album,” she said.
She said ‘My Warrior’ is one of the songs that has ministered to her and that she believes that it will also bless other people more especially during this season that we are living in.
“Our hope and trust is in the Lord our warrior, our fighter and deliverer because the battle is not ours, it is the Lords. God is fighting for us in all our situations,” Kamthunzi said.
Kamthunzi has eight albums to her credit and they include Mukhale Woyamba, Women of Africa and Angathe.
She also has three singles ‘Hakuna Kama Wewe’, ‘I Fix My Eyes’ and ‘My Warrior’.
“I am still preparing for my next album recording. Things have been slow because of the pandemic but the ministry has to move on, in season and out of season,” Kamthunzi said.
