Director for Uzimu Vibes Robin Pemba said the motive behind the cypher is to expose and promote talent.

The six minutes cypher to be released on Saturday will be uploaded on Uzimu Vibes’ website and social media platforms including YouTube.

“The country has witnessed cyphers done by numerous secular rappers from Blantyre, Lilongwe and Mzuzu now it is time for gospel artists from Zomba to showcase their talent in this project,” he said.

In the cypher, each artist has put in a Christ-centric message in his own words and style but on the same beat and they have one common goal: To preach the gospel and glorify God.

One of the rappers, Blessme, real name Blessme Phiri, said the gospel cypher will help him musically.

“The cypher will be played on various radios, TVs and online platforms and by doing so the message that would have otherwise gone to a few people on my own will now go to many people through this collective effort sponsored by Uzimu Vibes,” he said.

The cypher features rappers such as Thini, Blessme, Alex Marvel, L.I.M, Jay One and FourMula.

It has been produced by EchoRino of Inkosi Music in Lilongwe and its video has been filmed and directed by Frenchie, a Zomba-based young videographer.
