Coca-Cola back with Kuphaka Life

The Coca-Cola Kuphaka Life project is back this year and this time it has been expanded to reach out to more consumers.

The organisers Coca Cola confirmed yesterday that the event is back and this time bigger and better.

Titha Mbilizi, who is Senior Brands Manager (Non-Alcoholic Beverages), said on Tuesday that this year with Coca-Cola Kuphaka Life they are talking about city takeover.

“We have extended participation to students and consumers within Lilongwe, Blantyre and Mzuzu giving young people within these cities a fair chance to be part of this annual experience,” Mbilizi said.

She then revealed that the first event starts on September 24 at Blantyre Sports Club before moving to Mzuzu and Lilongwe in October.

“The day will start with social sports and end with a music show led by popular local urban music artists. For those participating in sporting activities, there will be prizes up for grabs for winning teams and the chance to win a supply of Coca-Cola for a year,” Mbilizi said.

She said that they hope to gain more participation and build on the new Coca-Cola campaign, Taste the Feeling, which is incorporated in this year’s Kuphaka Life.

Mbilizi said Coca-Cola Kuphaka Life is a platform they introduced in February 2015, which brings together music, sports and digital media sharing, all things which the country’s young and vibrant generation, the 18-25s, enjoys.

“At the time, Coca-Cola Kuphaka Life events took place at university campuses in all three regions of the country. This was a campus takeover event through which we reached out to over 8,000 consumers, bringing together 18 colleges and universities but now it’s a city take over,” she said.

Mbilizi said they were looking at nothing but the best during this year’s event and that they would want to connect with the youth through music and sport adding that this is the generation that loves and appreciates Coca-Cola.
