Renowned musician Code Sangala has created another platform for people to appreciate his music and, this time, he is releasing songs every fortnight off his Mizu Project.
The former Big Brother Africa (BBA) representative and host of Sounds of Malawi Acoustic Session has been on the drive of creating music that has an identity.
The singer and guitarist, who is a former member of Kapirintiya, said he would be introducing a song from his Mizu album every fortnight.
“I have a soft launch coming up later this year for the album but I thought I should do it differently. The idea is for people to get to listen to music that has deep roots of our identity,” he said.
Code said the launch of Mizu album was meant for last year but he failed due to Covid.
“It is an opportunity for all the fans to enjoy the music and appreciate the new sound. I will be playing with my band, The Tribe,” he said.
Code has, meanwhile, released the first video of a folksong titled ‘Asewera Ndi Ine’.
Mizu was released on Naxos World and, according to Code, it is available on all digital platforms.
Meanwhile, Code will tomorrow lead the Sounds of Malawi Session at Jacaranda Cultural Centre in Blantyre, featuring Codi.
