The Coca-Cola Company is this year celebrating 100 years of the Coca-Cola glass bottle which was created in 1915 by the Root Glass Company of Terre Haute Indiana, USA.
Although it has over the years changed in appearance, it has maintained its original contour shape.
Carlsberg senior brands manager, Titha Mbilizi, told journalists last Friday that various activities have since been lined up to mark the anniversary celebrations.
According to Mbilizi, various promotions have been set to reward loyal customers for the rest of this year.
“We want to involve all stakeholders and customers to benefit through various promotions lined up in the year,” said Mbilizi.
The company has also partnered with various artists as brand ambassadors to market the product.
She said since its inception in the country years ago, the Coke brand has remained favourable on the market and that the company is looking forward to further business growth on the local market.
