Cop, soldier battle for Fisd Golden Boot

Blue Eagles forward Schumacher Kuwali has vowed to beat Kamuzu Barracks’ Fisd leading goal scorer Francisco Kamdzeka to the K500,000 prize money for the competition’s Golden Boot winner.
Kamdzeka is leading with five goals followed by Eagles’ prolific goal poacher, Kuwali, with four goals.
In interview, Kuwali, was optimistic of overtaking the Malawi Defence Force player to win the award.
“I think I can score two goals in the final to increase my tally. At the same time, I also hope our defenders will tightly mark Kamdzeka so that he doesn’t score,” he said.
The former Mocambola League star scored a brace against Moyale and one each against Mafco and Silver Strikers.
However, Kamdzeka was also confident of winning the Golden Boot race.
“It hasn’t been easy to reach this far. It has been teamwork throughout. I will play my game everything will follow,” he said.
Kamdzeka, a youth product for KB, is playing his fourth season at the club.
He scored a brace each against Ntopwa and Hangover United. Kamdzeka also scored once one against Savenda Chitipa United.
