Coss Chiwalo takes album to Blantyre

After launching Nyimbo za Akatolika album in Lilongwe, veteran musician Coss Chiwalo over the weekend said he would re-launch the album at St Pius Hall in Blantyre on October 27 2019.
“Having launched it in Lilongwe, I have been receiving pressure from people in Blantyre saying I needed to do the same. So, I am doing it on October 27 2019,” Chiwalo said.
The artist, who was at his peak in early 2000, admitted that he has not done enough in terms of releasing albums lately.
“Nyimbo za Akatolika is a special album which I have done for the first time. Despite being Nyimbo za Akatolika, it is not an album only for the Catholics, it is an album which can be listened to, by everyone. It is just that I have utilised the beats and style from Catholic hymns,” the singer and keyboardist said.
He said the release of Nyimbo za Akatolika shows that he is still in the musical game and that soon he will also be releasing some of his own fresh songs.
“Things have changed compared to the past years where you could come up with an album every year or two. This time you have to come out better and produce the best otherwise you may lose out. This album is there to minister the word of God through music,” Chiwalo said.
He said the launch on October 27 will bring together renowned artists including legendary Paul Banda and his brother Lucius, Isaac Liotcha, Charles Sinetre and Alleluya Band crew that also has Paul Subili.
