Cyclist commended for good job done

People at Mlowe in Rumphi District have commended Annemarie Morin for a cycling gesture to raise funds for development activities at Mlowe Community Development Secondary School.

In an interview, Traditional Authority Mwamlowe said Morin has promised to help the school with four flash toilets and build a block with four bathrooms besides building a brick fence at the school.

“We will join her in activities manageable at community level like moulding and burning bricks for use at the school,” Mwamlowe said.

In a related development, Rumphi East Development Association (REDA) whose objective is to source funds for developmental activities in Rumphi East has contributed K40,000.00 cash to the cyclist.

According to Darius Mayuni, an Executive Member in the association, members coordinate through a Whatsapp group known as Rumphi East Development Forum in raising funds for their treasury through monthly contributions.

“We have decided to contribute money towards development activities at Mlowe CDSS in our area and this is laid out in our action plan as well,” said Darius Mayuni.
