Daliso Chaponda jets in Wednesday
The country’s UK-based comedian, Daliso Chaponda, arrives Wednesday ahead of his two performances in Blantyre and Lilongwe this coming weekend.
Qoncept Creatives’ Creat ive Director, Q Malewezi, confirmed Monday of the development.
“Yes Daliso jets in on Wednesday [tomorrow]. He is excited and ready for the two shows and has promised to give out loads of jokes,”Malewezi said.
Daliso will perform at Victoria Gardens in Blantyre on Friday before dating Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe the following day.
The shows are dubbed The President of Laughrica.
Malewezi said they were ready for the two shows and he indicated that they would be restocking all ticket outlets between yesterday and today.
“The response has been overwhelming and we are happy with the way people are buying the tickets,” he said.
The two shows will be hosted by Carl Joshua Ncube and the performances will be spiced by Prince Chikweba and Patience Namadingo.
Namadingo said recently that he strictly play comedian during these two outings.
Daliso, who came third in this year’s Britain’s Got Talent, said recently in a video that he was ready for the two shows.
“Hello Malawians, I am getting ready to come back to Malawi to do some shows, I have been packing, I got a Bible ready, I have got some holy word in case of vampires,” Daliso said.
This is not the first time for Daliso to perform in the country.
The comedian recently also came out to announce his first tour.
The comedian said he was going full throttle with the tour titled What The African Said.
Daliso, has also been signed by CKP Productions and Roar-Global.
