Daliso’s Laughrica weekly series begin

United Kingdom-based comedian Daliso Chaponda has started the Laughrica weekly series which he promised to give people during the Wakanda For Laughter tour recently.
He welcomed people to Laughrica on his social media page, describing the platform as a weekly series in which he will be doing jokes about every country in Africa.
“Episode one is quite fittingly, Malawi,” Daliso said.
He said apart from offering entertainment through jokes, the stage is there for educational purposes.
“I have started with Malawi because I am a Malawian. It is a wonderful country. I want to show the world that Africa is beautiful and we enjoy doing different things including art,” Daliso said.
In the first episode, Daliso zeroes in on a number of issues which have happened in the country including the arrests of the country’s Vice President Saulos Chilima and Anti- Corruption Bureau Director Martha Chizuma last year.
In the episode, Daliso also commends Prophet Shepherd Bushiri for uplifting religious tourism in the country, having moved from South Africa where he was based for years.
“I am not the biggest celebrity in Malawi, the biggest celebrities are prophets,” the one-time British Got Talent finalist says in the episode.
During the Wakanda For Laughter tour which saw him holding two shows in Blantyre, Kenya, Tanzania and Zambia, he indicated that he will hold more performances in Africa.
“It is all about using Wakanda For Laughter to bring out the best for Africa. I have not done more shows in Africa and now it is time to do so,” Daliso, who shared the stage with Zimbabwe’s Carl Joshua Ncube and South Africa’s Conrad Koch, said.
