Afro-pop musician Dan Lufani better known as Dan Lu is currently in Nigeria where he is fine-tuning his musical plans which among others include collaborating with one of Nigeria’s artists Kcee.
Dan Lu confirmed yesterday that he was in Nigeria working on some music projects, including collaborating with Kcee.
“I am here courtesy of my company Sisqo and I am excited to be here. This is part of growing my music,” he said.
One of the Nigerian media outlets Vanguard reported that Dan Lu was spotted last Wednesday at the celebrity hangout, O’jez in Surulere, in the company of his record label, Sisqo Productions owner, Christopher Tochukwu Nwaogwugwu, based in South Africa.
Vanguard said Dan Lu was in Nigeria to wrap up the deal with Kcee.
Dan Lu told Vanguard that he chose to collaborate with Kcee following the rising profile of the ‘Limpopo’ crooner in his country.
“Kcee is making a lot of noise in my country. He’s the right man to start with. I know we have other big artists, including, Psquare, 2Face, Don Jazzy and Ice Prince, but I chose Kcee because he plays the same kind of music with me,” said the ‘Part of Life,’ hit maker.
The musician said collaborating with Kcee will not only impact on his career as a musician, but also, it will help to raise the profile of his record label.
Dan Lu added:
“Nigerian music is currently ruling the airwaves in my country. It is played frequently at various functions in Malawi.”
The musician, who signed a contract with Sisqo Productions before renewing it this year and stayed in South Africa before coming back home to release a new album titled Sorry, could not be drawn to say when he is coming back home.
“We will start recording on Wednesday so for now I am not sure when I will be back,” he said.
Dan Lu left the country on September 29 for Nigeria.
