After dragging each other in the mud recently over contractual issues, Sisqo Productions and afro pop musician Dan Lu have come to terms.
The two had a discussion which saw them ironing out their differences and will see them working together during the launch of the Sweet Banana song taking place on Sunday at Lilongwe Golf Club.
The show will see Dan Lu sharing the stage with Nigerian star Kcee, who he featured in the Sweet Banana song.
Both Dan Lu and Sisqo Productions’ boss Christopher Tochukwu Nwaogwugwu confirmed the development.
In an interview at Chileka Airport in Blantyre before his departure to Lilongwe, Nwaogwugwu maintained that Dan Lu disobeyed the company but now he had come back to his senses.
“I meant it when I said that the show should be put on hold but now there is no need for that, Dan Lu has come back to his senses and understood that he was wrong, now it’s time to work together and people should support this show,” he said.
The Sisqo Productions boss said Malawians should now expect more goodies coming from the company including bringing top artists to perform in the country.
He called upon up and coming musicians to take seriously the issue of contracts.
“Once you sign a contract you need to stick to it and not break it. In most cases artists have ended up missing opportunities because of disobeying contracts so always tread carefully,” said Nwaogwugwu.
Dan Lu said yesterday that they had discussed at length over the issue and that he was happy that Sisqo Productions would be part of the show.
“We have talked over the issue but we have also agreed that we should discuss the issue of the contract after the show,” he said.
