Dan Lu to perform in Ireland
Musician Dan Lufani is expected to perform in Ireland on October 14.
Dan Lu confirmed the development Tuesday, saying this would give him a chance to perform to a different audience.
“I will leave on October 12. I am excited to perform in Ireland. Actually, I will be performing with Pop Dogg,” Dan Lu said.
A press statement indicates that Dan Lu’s Ireland performances have been organised by Globe Entertainment founder Memory Kazombo.
Dan Lu and Pop Dogg will share the stage, having also collaborated in the song ‘Work So Hard’.
Kazombo, who is a music promoter and has been organising several performances in Ireland, said:
“I am looking forward to this event and I am expecting it to be bigger than previous events. I am very patriotic and my goal is to promote Malawian artists.”
The past has also seen her bringing to Ireland artists such as Skeffa Chimoto and Mlaka Maliro.
Dan Lu revealed that he would have two shows in Ireland.
“It is my first time to perform in Ireland and I am more than prepared to deliver. I would like to thank the organisers for the opportunity and everyone who made this possible for me,” the ‘Part of Life’ star said.
Pop Dogg also hailed Kazombo for her patriotic efforts in supporting Malawian artists.
“She has been there supporting artists by flying them to Ireland. She has a great vision of promoting Malawian artists and is very passionate about it. I see a lot of promoters come and go because they are only money driven since they are not willing to learn and adapt,” Pop Dogg said.
Other artists set to be part of the show, according to the press statement, are Nic Thindwa, who is based in the United Kingdom, and Bingolingo and S Kwon, who are based in Dublin.
