Davie Chiwaya’s launch gets low patronage

Gospel singer Davie Chiwaya on Sunday launched two albums titled Ndimayenda Naye and Hymns I Love at Robin’s Park in Blantyre.

The launch however, received low patronage.

The launch saw the two albums eke K500,000 during auction.

Chiwaya gave out his best during the launch

“I am happy with the turnout which I didn’t expect. From Blantyre, I am looking at launching the two albums in Lilongwe and then Mzuzu,” he said.

The singer described his music as unique and added that he will continue to that he has strived to maintain his own style.

He also said that he decided to release the album Hymns I Love as part of ministering the word of God.

“We are called to minister His word and so working on Hymns I love is part of ministering God’s word. It’s been a challenge releasing the two albums but I thank God that He has been there for me” said Chiwaya.

Other artists who spiced up the launch included King James Phiri, Beulah Land, Press On, We Are One and veteran musician Sweeney Chimkango.

Chimkango announced during the launch that he has released a new album titled Khala Maso.
