Dedza Dynamos court seasoned coaches

Central Region Premier Division champions Dedza Dynamos have opened talks with three seasoned Super League coaches in readiness of their life in the elite league.

Dynamos have contacted Mzuzu Warriors Coach Gilbert Chirwa, former Karonga United boss Dan Dzinkambani and TN Stars mentor Joseph Malizani to lead the team in the top flight league.

An inside source said the team will announce the new coach on Monday after reviewing credentials of the trio yesterday.

“We are almost through with the process. We recently interviewed Gilbert [Chirwa],” said the source who added that Dzinkambani and Malizani were due to be interviewed Friday as we went to press.

However, the team’ general secretary Mavuto Mugode said it was too early to comment.

“Once the process is through, stakeholders will be briefed,” he said.

Chirwa confirmed to have attended interviews at Dedza.

“It was a normal football based interview. I believe I did m y best and if given a chance, I promise to build a highly competitive team which will give other Super League teams tough time playing against.

“I like the team’s philosophy and vision. They are so passionate about football and they have a winning mentality. Let us wait and see, ” Chirwa said.

Both Malizani and Dzinkambani were linked with Blue Eagles but the side opted for former Civil Service United Assistant Coach Eliya Kananji.
