Doreen Dee Kumbatila 8th in South Africa

Malawi’s top female bodybuilder, Doreen Dee Kumbatila, finished eighth out of 35 participants to the Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic show in South Africa on Friday.
“The stage, this year, was bigger as I was participating in Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic show which is competed for at global level as compared to last year’s Gentle Giant competition which is competed for at a continental level,” she said on Monday.

Kumbatila said she gained valuable lessons from the competition.
“It was an eye-opener posing on stage and also knowing how one’s body should be defined to compete in a competition of this magnitude. My overall analysis was that the show was an eye-opener to me and competing in it has made me become better than Tuesday,” she said.
Last year, Kumbatira finished fourth at the Gentle Giant competition which South Africa hosted.
