Four promising boxers have engaged in a verbal tirade ahead of the double-header non-title bill set for New Nkhwazi Lodge in Chigumula on Sunday.

During the double-header bill, Boniface Sitenela will take on George Kandulo while Tinkhani Kamanga will face Aubrey Masamba.

Sitenala said he was solid as cement and was geared for the fight.

“I have had impressive preparations and I am looking forward to the bill. I want to impress boxing fans so that I should make a name for myself,” he said.

Kandulo, speaking in a telephone interview, said he wanted to prove to the nation that he was the best in featherweight category.

“I am done with amateur boxing where I have been the champion for over 10 years in my division. I want to continue with my form,” he said.

The other set of boxers were equally impressive with their words.

Masamba said he was more experienced than Kamanga and vowed to win.

“I am more experienced in professional boxing. I can’t predict which round I will win. One thing for sure is that I will bombard him with blows to win the contest,” he said.

However, the challenger, Kamanga said Masamba was the weakest in the Masamba family.

“I will take him down mercilessly because all I care is about my name,” he said.

Meanwhile, Mulanje Last Boxing Promotion managing director, Mike Chitenje, donated Chombe tea Bags to the boxers.

“As you know we have received support from Chombe so it was important to donate tea bags to the four. We thank Chombe for the support. We have also received support from Proto- Feeds,” he said.
