The Board of the Millenium Challenge Account, Malawi (MCA-M) has appointed Dye Mawindo as the new Chief Executive Officer for MCA-M replacing Susan Banda.
MCA-M is implementing a power compact project in the country through funding from the US government focusing largely on developing Malawi’s energy sector.
The project will among other things revitalise Malawi’s power sector by upgrading electricity infrastructure and improving the performance of key institutions within the energy and power supply sectors.
And a statement from MCA-M says Mawindo has been appointed to this position having previously served as Director of the Office of Public Procurement.
The statement describes Mawindo as a general management expert who holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of Malawi and an MBA degree from the East and Southern African Institute.
