‘Eclipse’ to premiere at Madsoc Theatre

A short film titled Eclipse written by Shadreck Story Moffat will premiere at Madsoc Theatre in Lilongwe on Friday.
Moffat said Tuesday that Eclipse is a collaborative effort from different young filmmakers – Tshonga Multimedia and Perfect Shots.
“This is a film that tells the real life story of real happenings of young girls who got impregnated during Covid pandemic. There are so many issues in there including gender based violence against women and drug abuse by young people,” he said.
Moffat, who is also part of the cast further said that this is a story that people will relate to and that they thought it wise to bring it to light.
“We need to tackle these issues happening in society through different platforms and film has proved to be another powerful vehicle of disseminating information in order to bring about change,” he said.
Apart from Moffat, other actors starring in the film include Georgina Shaban, Elisa Moffat and Gerrard Zuzy.
