Ecobank touts promo for increased digital usage
Representatives of one of the country’s high street banks, Ecobank Malawi, are speaking highly of the Zayambika promotion saying it enhanced the use of its digital platforms among customers.
The promotion requires customers to transact using internet banking or mobile banking platforms between their account and other accounts or merchant shops with an amount not less than K20,000.
During the first draw of the promotion held in Blantyre on Friday, the bank’s marketing and communications manager, Takondwa Chirwa, said through the promotion their customers have confidence using internet based banking platforms.
She said over 24,600 customers qualified for the draw meaning they had transacted using the platforms since the promotion started on December 18 2019.
“We have seen tremendous support on use of our digital platforms more so use of the prepaid card. I just want to remind all customers that the prepaid card is independent of an account and is accessible to any person interested for local and international transactions” Chirwa said.
During the draw, two lucky customers won K500,000 each, five others won shopping vouchers and consolation prizes including umbrellas, key holders and t-shirts.
The promotion is expected to end on February 17 2020. The grand prize is K3 million with the runner up receiving K1.5 million and third prize is K500,000 for two customers.
