Pan-African banking group, Ecobank, has rolled out Ecobank Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Booster series aimed at Enhancing SME competitiveness through innovative business skills training.
The training will cater for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across the 33 African countries in which the financial services group is present in including Malawi.
In a statement on Friday, Ecobank Malawi Head of Commercial Banking, Victoria Chanza said the bank is geared to provide a comprehensive suite of financial and non-financial solutions to MSMEs in order to help them reach their full potential and increase their commercial and economic impact.
“This free virtual training has been designed to empower Malawian MSMEs by providing them with the right tools and skill sets to lead themselves, their businesses and support their communities effectively,” Chanza said.
The Malawi session, according to the statement, will be done together with MSMEs from Ecobank affiliate countries under the Central Eastern and Sothern African Region between June 9 and 23 2022.
The virtual training will provide MSMEs in Malawi with a unique opportunity to network and learn from other MSMEs operating in other African countries.
According to the statement, topics to be covered will include risk management, business sustainability and bankability, adapting operations, e-commerce, customer experience, business compliance and leadership.
