Publicist Dereck Nyirenda said they will be announcing the full list of the artists next week.

“We are excited and we are looking forward to a good outing with the third edition. All the eight venues will feature arts programmes and activities targeting everyone including children. We have kids’ games, hikes and yoga,” Nyirenda said.

He said tickets for the festival were still selling and that they have put up several sales points for people to access tickets easily.

“Early bird discount ticket ended on April 1 and then thereafter, people will get tickets at the door which will be K25,000. Accompanied children under 12 will get free entry. This is a festival for all ages,” Nyirenda said.

He said the festival is all there to give a platform to artists to showcase their works and also at the same time offer entertainment to people.

“We are also there to promote Zomba City as well as help the government in uplifting tourism,” Nyirenda said.

Meanwhile, Nyirenda said a bin painting competition is now in progress ahead of the festival.

Zap in partnership with Tropical Paints, called upon painters to participate in decorating waste bins around the city to stand a chance of winning cash prizes and other incentives.

“The winner will be announced during the festival during Art in the Park in the Botanic Gardens,” Nyirenda said.

The winners stand a chance of winning cash prizes of up to K180,000 as well as Tropical Paints hampers.
