Gospel musician and preacher Apostle Enesia Chitheka Lewis, who recently went to India for an operation is back.
Chitheka Lewis, who was admitted at Shalby Hospital at Gujarat, came back home on October 27 but did not undergo the operation.
The veteran singer said yesterday that she was fine and that the operation never took place as the obstruction which was supposed to be opened through operation opened itself.
“I am happy to be back. I am fine and would like to thank all those who kept me in prayers. I thank God because this is a great miracle,” she said.
According to Chitheka Lewis, before she left for the operation, she was not well and that she had been using a tube which was inserted.
Early last year, the former board member of the Copyright Society of Malawi (Cosoma) also underwent surgery for kidney failure at Netcare Hospital in Durban, South Africa.
Chitheka Lewis has led a gospel group Chitheka Family since it was started in 2001.
The gospel singer is also the founder of Hope of Glory Church in Blantyre.
Her church organised shows in Blantyre when she was admitted in South Africa to raise funds for her medical bills.
Before she left for South Africa, Chitheka Lewis launched a new album titled Yehova Nyansadabusa.
In April this year, she performed at the launch of gospel musician Joseph Chirwa’s By My Spirit album in Blantyre where she shared the stage with among others veteran Paul Banda.
