Musician Ennoh Mwana wa Igwe has released a romantic single titled ‘Ndigubila’.

“Putting an album together is not that easy, it demands a lot in terms of preparations but it starts with a step and that step is what I have made releasing this love song,” he said.

The artist has released both the audio and the music video on the market.

“I have already started getting positive feedback from people,” he said.

In the music video, the artist added colour by using some of the renowned actors such as Edwin Chonde, who starred in Chiwetel Ejiofor’s The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind.

“I didn’t want to do the usual things, art demands creativity and so I thought of using fellow actors to come up with a good music video,” Ennoh said.

Listening to the song, one gets the feeling that he was to some extent embracing the Western African style of music particularly Nigeria. But Ennoh said: “Not really, I would say it has some Afrocentric vibe to it which, cannot be attributed to Nigeria only but rather the whole African continent. These are African drums and so I thought I should pick on that”.

On working with Lulu for the first time, Ennoh described Lulu as a talented musician, who every musician in the country would want to collaborate with.

“Apart from being a friend, Lulu is a legendary artist who has been in the game for so long such that it was very easy for me to choose him. Not only that, but with the nature of the song, Lulu was a perfect feat in order to utilise his expertise in the area of love,” he said.

Lulu has released a number of love songs which have excited people.

And true to Ennoh’s sentiments, Lulu has enriched the song, giving it strength with his voice.

Lulu said yesterday he was happy to work with Ennoh.

“It is not only this song, there is also another track coming up,” the ‘N’zalera’ creator said.
