Africa successfully holding the Sound and Light concert in Lilongwe in September, Entertainers Promotions return to Lilongwe with yet another big show dubbed Utsi Tuluka Concert to be held on Sunday at M1 Centre Point.

Entertainers led by Tonderai Banda, son to Jai Mr Entertainer Banda, return to Lilongwe with one mission: to continue from where they stopped three months ago.

The Concert will see musician Billy Kaunda and his Armageddon Band sharing the stage with Skeffa Chimoto and his Real Sounds Band, The 6 Solid Band and Police Orchestra among others.

Skeffa will be supported by his troops Lenzo Mhlanga, Kaka and Dave Nsaku, young brother to Charles Nsaku.

Tonderai said they are ready for the show, saying this is a local show with an international touch and promising nothing but fireworks.

“We are ready. There are no short cuts when we organise a show. We strive to do our best and we do not compromise on anything ranging from sound to security. As usual, we will dish out several branded T-shirts to our fans,” Tonderai said.

He added: “Asked on what they were doing about the frequent blackouts, he said they have arranged for standby generators and that the only thing people should be worried about is having their ear buds pierced by the stereophonic sound.”

Ras Hope of Lilongwe will take advantage of the concert to launch his debut album Umandisangalatsa on the same day.

And Malawi Police Orchestra will also demonstrate that they are still a band to reckon with.

Led by Andrew Kamangwa, Police Orchestra are regaining the glory which once reigned supreme with late States Samangaya.

Kaunda creator of Mwapindulanji and Agalatiya songs rarely holds live performances and asked why he is performing again, he said: “I was invited by Tonderai to perform because I understand there is huge demand for me to have live performances. I could not refuse because Team Entertainers always treat us local artists as if we are international artists.”

Kaunda said he was ready for the performance and he will do his best to entertain his fans.

He also said people will be given a treat as he will play keyboard and drums.
