Epac FC coach rues cup exit
Epac coach Audrey Makonyola was left ruing missed scoring opportunities after losing 1-2 to hosts Moyale Barracks in a 2016 Presidential Cup quarterfinal at Civo Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
“Moyale utilised their chances and we lost concentration at some point. We need to focus much on the league games,” Makonyola said.
Moyale coach Collins Nkuna said his charges played according to instruction “We struggled in the first half but we told the players to up the tempo of the game in the second half. Epac gave us tough time and it was a tense game,” Nkuna said.
Moyale defeated Epac with goals from Crispin Fukizi and Khuda Muyaba before Innocent Tanganyika grabbed the consolation for the hosts.
Moyale join in the semifinals Mafco, who also sailed through after defeating Dwangwa United 1-0 at Chitowe Stadium.
In-form Richard Mbulu netted the only goal of the match to take his goal-tally in the cup to 17 this season.
In other quarterfinals, Be Forward Wanderers face Max Bullets, whereas Nyasa Big Bullets and Kabwafu FC face-off.

Football Association of Malawi (Fam).
