Switzerland-based musician Ernest Ikwanga jetted in the country on Sunday ahead of a series of gigs he has organised to connect with his fans.
Ikwanga said he was looking forward to offering the best.
“Home will always be the best. They say East or West home is best and so I am excited and looking forward to giving people nothing but music”, the singer and guitarist said.
Ikwanga, who has starred with several acts in the country including veteran Mtebeti Wambali Mkandawire, said the concerts, which would take him to Lilongwe and Blantyre, were part of promoting his Chisekese album.
Last year, Ikwanga, alongside Mbanaye, represented the country at the Sauti za Busara Festival in Tanzania.
The artist’s first performance is on Saturday at Story Club in Lilongwe before dating Jacaranda Cultural Centre in Blantyre on July 27 and then Crossroads Hotel in Lilongwe on August 10.
Ikwanga also has a concert in Switzerland on October 18.
