Gospel singer Estiner Katengeza, who is pursuing further studies in Japan, said Thursday she was excited to perform at the Japan Malawi Forum in Tokyo Saturday.
The ‘Zili Bwino’ creator said she would, during the event, be featuring in Lyco and Kaka Furaha’s song.
“We have combined Chichewa, English and Japanese lyrics. The song is titled ‘Te O Tsunaide’ which means Tigwirane Manja or Tigwilizane in Chichewa,” Katengeza said.
She said the event has been organised by Malawi Society of Japan and that the forum is an annual event which concludes with a nsima party.
The event is running under the theme ‘Conquering Quest for SDGs and the Prosperous Future of Africa’.
Katengeza said last year the Malawi Society of Japan supported her presentation at the University of Tokyo by live-streaming her performance.
“I am grateful for the support in all fronts,” she said.
Meanwhile, Dan Lufani is in South Africa where he will be holding shows before his return on September 10 2019.
