AYIWENI— I felt that I had loads of spiritual knowledge

Evangelist Robert Yahaya Ayiweni of St George Anglican Church in the Diocese of Upper Shire has authored Njira ya Chipulumutso, a culmination of 20 years of evangelisation.

The book implores Christians to seek salvation in a world crowded with myriad distractions.

The 42-page spiritual book has five chapters that zoom in on knowledge, faith, prayer, anointing and ministry.

Speaking during the launch in Zomba City on Sunday, Ayiweni said the book sought to inspire believers not to turn left or right, but keep their eyes on the ultimate goal: salvation.

“The book focuses on issues such as salvation and how one can manage his or her spiritual life. I have observed that, although there are many born-again Christians, some of them struggle to manage their lives. I want to help such people and this is what prompted me to write this book,” Ayiweni said.

Ayiweni, who was born in a family of Muslims before converting to Christainity, said he had experienced wonders in his life.

The launch of the book comes at a time Ayiweni is celebrating 20 years of evangelising to hundreds of people.

“I have been an evangelist for 20 years now and I have been to almost every place in Malawi, preaching the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to all and sundry.

“When I sat down, I felt that I had loads of spiritual knowledge worth sharing; hence, my decision to put my impressions, based on scripture, in the book,” Ayiweni said.

He added that, apart from the book, he had DVDs and CDs that have been produced to help people walk in the great light of the gospel.

The book, CDs and DVDs are found in outlets in Lilongwe, Blantyre, Mzuzu and Zomba.
